Sanborn County Commissioners met in regular session on Tuesday, January 19, at 9:00 a.m. with Chairman Jeff Ebersdorfer presiding. Present were Steve Larson, Paul Larson, and Gary Blindauer. Auditor Diane Larson and Deputy Auditor Kami Moody were also present. Motion by Blindauer, seconded by P. Larson, to approve the minutes as presented. All ayes; motion carried.
HIGHWAY
Stacy Mendenhall, Highway Superintendent, and Sheri Kogel, Highway Administrative Assistant, met with the board. Motion by P. Larson, seconded by Blindauer, to declare the ’94 GMC pickup as surplus. All ayes; motion carried.
Motion by Blindauer, seconded by S. Larson, to purchase a new pickup for the Highway Department. All ayes; motion carried.
WEED BOARD
Motion by P. Larson, seconded by S. Larson, to enter weed board meeting. Sheri Kogel presented a Notice of Responsibility to Control Noxious Weeds and Declared Pests. This will be posted in the Sanborn Weekly Journal for two weeks. The Board resumed back to the regular commissioner meeting. All ayes; motion carried.

RESOLUTION
Motion by P. Larson, seconded by S. Larson, to adopt the resolution for Appointment of Applicant Agent for the Pre-Disaster Mitigation Grant Program. All ayes; motion carried.
WHEREAS, Sanborn County is submitting a Pre-Disaster Mitigation Grant project to the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the State of South Dakota; and
WHEREAS, Sanborn County is required to appoint an Applicant Agent for the purpose of signing documents and assuring the completion of all application documents;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Sanborn County appoints Emergency Management Director Jason Coenen as the authorized Applicant Agent.
