On Friday, Oct. 22, the students and staff of Woonsocket High School conducted a memorial balloon launch from the island on Lake Prior in memory of Sutton Senska, who was a member of the Woonsocket High School Class of 2025 and lost his life in a UTV accident one year ago on Oct. 24. Woonsocket’s guidance counselor, Mrs. Mica Foxley, said a few words and then the members of the freshman class launched pink balloons in memory of their friend. Family and friends joined the students and staff for the ceremony. A bald eagle flew above the large crowd in an appropriate fashion to honor the memory of Sutton whose life was cut short much too soon.
