The SC/W Blackhawk team recorded their seventh straight win and an explosive victory over the Parkston Trojans 73-55 at the Dakota Wesleyan University Culver’s Classic in the Corn Palace on Saturday, Feb. 13.
Leading by only two points at halftime, SC/W scored 43 points in the final two quarters, out-hustling Parkston and smothering them with defensive pressure.
Dillon Moore had 21 points, Brady Tiede added 17 and Josh Feiner chipped in 11 points. The Hawks grabbed nine steals and forced 14 Parkston turnovers in the win.
SC/W went 29-of-53 from the field (54 percent), 9-of-16 from behind the arc (56 percent) and 6-of-9 from the line (67 percent).
Dillan Thuringer had 16 points for the Trojans, while Jake DeLange and Wes Genant added 11 and 10 points, respectively.
The Blackhawks have two games left in the regular season against Mitchell Christian Feb. 18 and Wessington Springs Feb. 26, where they hope to also record wins and put them in contention for the top seed in District 6B, which Wolsey-Wessington presently holds.
