Interest Rates: Farm Storage Facility Loans:  seven year – 1.25 percent; 10 year – 1.875 percent; and 12 year – 2.125 percent.  Marketing Assistance Loans: 1.125 percent.
Actively Engaged in Farming: For more than 20 years USDA has worked to ensure program benefits only go to farmers who are actively engaged in farming and will do so for 2013 as well.
To enforce the rules FSA requires producers to certify who is providing equipment, labor, management, land and capital for each and every program participant. New participants and old participants who have made changes must certify these inputs and meet requirements to be eligible for payments. If you’ve got something new going on let’s get the paperwork done.
Report your acreage changes. Rent something new. Report land changes to FSA.
