The Town of Artesian Council met on October 7, 2015 in regular session at the Artesian Community Center.  Council Member Effling called the meeting to order with Council Member Richard and Danek and Finance Officer Steele present. M. Ebersdorfer and T. Fridley were also present.
The minutes of the September 9, 2015, meetings were read; motion to approve by Danek, seconded by Effling, motion carried.  Finance Officer reports were read; motion to approve by Danek, seconded by Effling, motion carried. The following vouchers were presented for the month:

Streets:
Pool/Parks: Fridley will drain lines at campground, pool and to ball fields.  Grant for mosquito control received. No hunting will be allowed around the dump grassy area.
New Business:  Motion by Richard, seconded by Danek, to purchase a grapple fork from Sanborn Central School for $500. Motion carried. A hearing on the application for liquor license renewal was held for the Longbranch Bar for 2015-2016; with no citizen input or objections. Motion by Danek, seconded by Richard, to approve liquor license.  Motion carried. Motion by Richard, seconded by Danek, to hire Tracey Steele as the finance officer. Motion carried.
The next meeting will be November 4, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. at the Artesian Community Center. There being no further business brought before the Council, motion by Richard, seconded by Danek, meeting adjourned. Motion carried.
