The Oct. 12 meeting of the Letcher American Legion Auxiliary was called to order by President Ruml with four members present.
There were no minutes available. The treasurer’s report was read and approved.
President Ruml read a letter from District President Judy Winegar.  A reminder was given of the coming visit of the District President to be held Nov. 14 at 1:30 p.m. in Woonsocket.
President Ruml talked about “Good Deed Cards” to be given out at Sanborn Central School along with teachers’ appreciation.
A membership drive was discussed.
Motion was made by Nelson, seconded by Moe, to send money to Hot Springs veterans instead of buying gifts for Christmas. This to be sent by Nov. 1.
Motion by Nelson, seconded by Northrup, to buy items for “Give 10 to Education”. Ruml will attend to this.
The date for the Veterans Day Potluck supper was set for Nov. 11 at 6 p.m.
Treasurer Northrup was directed to pay all obligations and to send in collected membership dues.
Oct. 26 was set for a sew day at Northrup’s home to make pillowcases for service members and Christmas stockings for the veterans.
