The regular Letcher Legion Auxiliary meeting was held Monday, Nov. 9 at 8 p.m. at the Letcher Community Center.  President Sandi Ruml called the meeting to order.  Chaplain Pat Nelson read an opening prayer.  The minutes from last meeting and the treasurer’s report were both read by Kathy Northrup and were approved.
Letters from District President Winegar were read and discussion was held regarding the Buddy Baskets to be made for the veterans.  It was decided that Kathy Northrup and Sandi Ruml will buy items for the baskets and also buy the candy and peanuts needed for the Santa sacks. Dec. 9 at 4 p.m. was the time set to sack the Santa sacks.
Dec. 12 is turkey bingo and this year Santa will visit at  6 p.m. before turkey bingo due to the fact that there will be no Sunday School Christmas practice this year on Saturday mornings. Lunch was served by Kathy Northrup for the women and the Legion men.
The next meeting is Monday, Dec. 14 at 6 p.m. It will be a potluck and Christmas party for both men and the women.
