Harvey Lee Schrank, 71, of Fedora, passed away Saturday, Aug. 6, 2016, at Artesian.
Funeral services were 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 10, at The Church of Epiphany in Epiphany with Fr. Paul Josten officiating. Burial was in the Fedora Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday, Aug. 9 at 6 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service at the Catholic Church in Epiphany.
Harvey Lee Schrank was born Sept. 2, 1944, at Parkston to Kenneth and Clara (Riecke) Schrank. He was raised in the Corsica and Stickney areas, where he attended school. Harvey worked for farmers in the area until he was united in marriage to Susan Mentele on May 11, 1968, in Epiphany, and then he worked for the Miner County Highway Department. He later went to work as a farmhand for Gordon Crane, working for him for 26 years. Harvey returned to work for the Miner County Highway Department and retired in 2014.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards with his family and also watching game shows on television.
Harvey is survived by his wife, Susan Schrank of Fedora; three sons, Lenny (Susie Frank) Schrank of Fedora, Mike (Charity) Schrank of Sioux Falls, and Randy Schrank of Fedora; four grandchildren; four brothers, Garlan Schrank, Steve (Norma) Schrank, and Curtis Schrank, all of Mitchell, and Bryan (Sherri) of Alexandria; two sisters, Julie (Richard) Gustad of Platte and Dawn Miller of Aberdeen; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three infant children; a brother, Larry; and two sisters, Barbara and Janice.
