The Town and Kountry Kids 4-H Club – Blue Group met June 20 at the Letcher Community Center.
The meeting was called to order by Chloe with 18 members present. The flag salute and 4-H pledge was led by Tori and Keeton. The secretary’s report was read by Kenlie. The treasurer’s report was given by Brady.
Reports were given as follows: Chili cook-off/bean bag tourney by Alexis and Kara. The club had the best chili campsite. There was a great turnout of members and people. 4-H camp reports on the camp at Lake Poinsett were given by Noah, Kenlie, Kara, Keaton, Payton, Brady, Michael and Bryce. They all expressed a good time enjoying swimming, food and talent night.
Old business: The club received a donation of $50 from the Curtis Auctioneering Company for serving lunch at the Hanson sale. The club will hold a sewing project day on Friday, June 24.
New business: Upcoming dates were discussed. The club also plans to have a fun day at the Huron water park on the afternoon of Aug. 7. The annual pie contest, to be held at Achievement Days, Aug. 13 was discussed. A discussion was held on how the proceeds from the contest will be used.
The club will have a number for the Letcher Legion ice cream and pie social on July 12.
Alexis gave a talk on chickens.
Lunch was served by Michael, Payton and Riley.
The next meeting will be held July 18 at the community center in Letcher.
