Walls are being erected this week on the theater addition at the Woonsocket Community Center.
The footings and concrete floor were poured before the Fourth of July by Gerry Orth’s Central Concrete of Alpena. Todd Brueske Construction, Woonsocket, has been chosen to construct the addition, which comes off the north end of the community center.
The project’s goal finish date is Nov. 1, and it has been entirely funded by donations. The Theater Project Committee needs to raise another $5,000-$10,000 for the build and will later need funds for other items such as a stage curtain, sound system, etc.
