First Lutheran members, it is time again to gather items for the LWR school kits, personal care kits, baby care kits, fabric kits and soap.  With all the school supplies on sale now, it is a great time to buy the items for the school kits.  Bags for the school kits and lists of items for all the kits are in the back of the church.  Kits need to be completed and dropped off at the church by Sept. 15.
Pastor Josh Knudsen will have a special blessing and prayer at the 9:30 a.m. worship service on Aug. 14 for students, teachers and school personnel as the school year kicks off. Students, bring your backpacks, and teachers, bring your totes, etc., and they will be blessed, too.
Pastor Josh, Marti, Haley and Brynja Knudsen will host an open house at the parish parsonage at Carthage on Sunday, Aug. 21, from 1-3 p.m. They will provide beverages and ask that you bring a sweet treat to share.  Come and visit with them, see all the work that has been done  in the parsonage and enjoy some fellowship.
