William Dean Ruml, 69, of Rapid City, died Thursday, March 31, 2016, at the Rapid City Regional Hospital.
Services will be at a later date in Black Hills National Cemetery.
William, the son of Richard and Matilda (Meier) Ruml, was born Sept. 30, 1946, at Letcher and grew up there. He served two tours of duty in the Navy during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Patti Ruml; two sons, Heath and Shane Ruml, and a daughter, Angel (Nick) Hix, all of Rapid City; three brothers, Ken (Connie) Ruml of Howard, Don Ruml of Watertown,  and Ron (Sandi) Ruml of Letcher; two sisters, Elaine Knutson of Letcher and Karen Severson of Aberdeen; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard Ruml, Jr.
Arrangements are with Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home in Rapid City.
