Five members of Hope Circle of Spirit of Faith Lutheran-Methodist Church met at Prairie View Healthcare Community on Thursday evening, May 11, at 5:30 p.m. Vicki Linke was the hostess and served a light meal. Attending were Jo Ann Schladweiler, Barb Coulthard, Vickie Hines, Sue Larson and Vicki Linke.
Vicki Linke, chairman, called the meeting to order. Sue Larson read the April minutes and gave a treasurer’s report. Jo Ann Schladweiler, W/ELCA treasurer, gave the financial statement.
Members discussed the presentation of the high school senior quilts on May 7 and their deep appreciation of the gift.
A brief meeting will be held following worship on May 21 to organize a new combined women’s group within the church.
July 24-27 will be the annual Bible day camp. Hope circle will be responsible for one of the noon meals.
The next meeting will be Wednesday, June 7, at PVHC with Ruth Jensen as hostess.
Residents attending for the Bible study time were Patti Knigge, Phyl Manke, Myrna Hjelm, Alice Baruth and Ruth Berg. The lesson for May was a series of devotions from various women pastors and female authors.
