The regular meeting of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 29 met at 6:30 p.m. on May 2, in the solarium at the Prairie View Apartments.
Dawn Rassel, president, led the opening ceremonies and Judy Stenzel led the opening prayer. The minutes of the April meeting were read by Mary Kay Regynski and approved. The treasurer’s report was given by Barb Maurice and accepted as given. A bill for supplies used for the lunch served at the Legion Poker Tournament was approved for payment.
A sunshine report was given. Sympathy cards were sent to Vicki Miller, the family of Ruth Dankey, and the family of Evie Hjelm.
The May newsletter from Linda Holmes, District 6 President was read. The 2017 State Convention will be held in Watertown on June 15-18. Delegates chosen for the convention are Dawn Rassel, Mary Kay Regynski and Judy Stenzel. Alternates chosen were Lynn Brueske, Barb Maurice and Carrie Howard.
Plans were made for the Memorial Day lunch to be served after the program.
The next meeting will be June 6, at 6:30 p.m. with a memorial service for the deceased members this year. Following the closing ceremonies, President Dawn Rassel adjourned the meeting.
