The Town N’ Kountry Kids 4-H club met on Friday, April 14, at the Letcher Community Center. The meeting was called to order by President Brady Larson. Roll call of your favorite color was answered by 27 members. The secretary’s report was read by Ashlee Hanson. Noah Wormstadt gave the treasurer’s report that was approved.
Committee reports were given by Ellie Evans on grandparent correspondence, and by Teagen Moody and Ellie Evans on the playground equipment and timeline. A motion was made by Toby Kneen and seconded by Mason Moody to pay around $3,000 for playground equipment. Ellie Evans gave a shooting sports update.
Old Business: The club will be holding a quilt raffle with proceeds to go to Paisley King. Kara and Noah Wormstadt will be on the raffle committee. Club T-shirts from last meeting were handed out and payments made. The club has received money from the LTM CorTrust grant and NorthWestern Energy.
New Business: The club decided to sell burgers at Letcher Fun Day on June 10. Committee members are: Chloe Degen, Tori Hoffman, Kenlie Fridley and Delaney Zoss. A motion was made by Dean Hanson and seconded by Teagen Moody to pay $30 for 4-H camp fees and $75 to assist with performing arts fees.
Letcher clean-up day is Saturday, April 22. Members are to come and assist with clean-up at 3:30 p.m. Please bring gloves and rakes.
State Fair books were handed out to all families present. Up-coming dates were reviewed.
Demonstrations were given by Mason and Madi Moody – Types of Ropes, and Chloe Degen – Bullying.
Tori Hoffman led recreations with an Easter Egg Hunt.
Lunch was served by Cole and Clay Moody, Keaton and Kenley Fridley, Chloe Degen and Miley Adams
The next meeting will be May 21 at the 4-H building at 5 p.m. with Hansons, Steve Zoss and Charlie Zoss families serving lunch.
