The regular meeting of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 29 met on March 7, at 6:30 p.m. with President Dawn Rassel leading the opening ceremonies. Chaplain Judy Stenzel led the opening prayer.
The minutes of the December meeting and treasurer’s report were given and approved.
A newsletter from District 6 President Linda Holmes was read and discussed. The Spring District 6 meeting will be held at the Kimball Legion Hall on April 2 at 3 p.m. Girls State Orientation Tea will be on April 30 at the Mitchell High School at 2 p.m. Dawn Rassel announced the Girls State delegate this year is Ashleigh Fry.
Coupons have been sent for military families in Germany and South Korea. Plans were made to celebrate the American Legion birthday at their March meeting.
The next meeting will be April 4 at 6:30 p.m. in the Prairie View Apartment solarium.
Bingo helper for March is Karen Krueger. Cookies for the Prairie View Healthcare Community Bingo this month will be furnished by Liz Brooks and Carrie Howard.
