The Lady Blackhawks had another week filled with volleyball on three nights. Monday night they traveled to Stickney to take on the Corsica-Stickney Jaguars. The game ended in a loss for the Blackhawks in four sets with scores of 17-25, 25-22, 18-25 and 23-25.
On Tuesday, Oct. 16, SCW hosted the Hitchcock-Tulare Patriots. They lost another tough battle in four sets with scores of 18-25, 25-15, 14-25 and 21-25.
Friday, Oct. 19 brought the Bridgewater-Emery Huskies to Sanborn Central for the Lady Blackhawks “Cancer Awareness Night.” Both teams battled until the end with the game going to five sets and ending in another loss for the Lady Blackhawks. Set scores were 25-12, 21-25, 25-18, 14-25 and 12-15.
The Lady Blackhawks had their last game of regular season play on Tuesday, Oct. 23 against Mt. Vernon/Plankinton in Plankinton. They will start region play on Monday or Tuesday of next week, depending on the result of their match on Tuesday with MVP.
