SCW Volleyball team performs well during busy week

Three seniors, Madi Moody (7), Tesa Jensen (11) and Erica Howard (20) show how much fun they have playing volleyball together on the court during the Howard game on Monday, Oct. 8.

Last week was a busy week for Blackhawks Volleyball. They first traveled to Howard to bring home a victory in three with set scores of 25-17, 25-21 and 25-12.

The Lady Blackhawks were back at it the next night with a game in Forestburg against the James Valley Vikings. SCW played well together Tuesday night and won again in three sets. Set scores were 25-16, 25-22 and 25-18.

On Thursday, Oct. 11, the Lady Blackhawks traveled to White Lake to take on the Kimball/White Lake Wildkats. It was a good battle back and forth, but SCW came home with their only loss for the week. The game went to four sets with scores of 26-24, 21-25, 21-25 and 13-25. The Blackhawks finished the week strong with everyone working well together.

With a record of 16-7, the Lady Blackhawks have a hectic schedule this week with games on Monday, Tuesday and Friday nights. Friday night’s game is at Sanborn Central and is the volleyball team’s annual Cancer Awareness Night. The ladies play Bridgewater-Emery with games starting at 4 p.m.
