On Sunday, Jan 14, the St. Wilfrid’s Altar Society, under the leadership and diligent work of Liz Swenson, served a French toast and sausage breakfast with all proceeds going to the basement renovation fund.
The church basement, also known as the Parish Hall, has been completely renovated in the past several years due to some foundation reinforcement needed and safety concerns. Because of the completion of the renovation, the church is now able to utilize the basement for CCD classes and events such as funeral dinners, meetings, and meals served like the breakfast on Sunday.
Church affiliated organizations have been holding events to help continue to raise funds to fulfill the financial obligation needed to complete the renovation. This particular event raised over $750 and served 85 people.
