On Tuesday, May 7, the sixth grade students at Woonsocket Elementary will receive their certificates of culmination to acknowledge their completion of the D.A.R.E. program.
D.A.R.E. stands for Drug Abuse Resistance Education. It is a program that is designed to help students resist pressures which may influence them to experiment with alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, inhalants and other drugs. For the last nine weeks, the sixth grade students in Woonsocket have been working very hard to get through the D.A.R.E. Decision Making Model that assists students in problem solving and helps them make wise decisions.
