After 11 years of service to the congregations of the Lutheran and Methodist churches and now the Spirit of Faith Church in Woonsocket, Pastor Rhonda Wellsandt-Zell has accepted a new call to Trinity Lutheran Church in Mitchell. 

When Pastor accepted the call 11 years ago, it included services held alternately in three separate buildings in Forestburg and Woonsocket, and working with three separate councils and congregations, although they were one parish. She has journeyed with those congregations through the unification into one congregation, the demolition of two buildings, and the construction of a new church building. She has led the congregation through these milestones with vision and guidance, and has inspired church members to trust in the possibilities for their future.

A special farewell service will be held on Sunday, June 2, at 9 a.m., at Spirit of Faith Church, which will be Pastor Rhonda’s last Sunday there. A potluck brunch will be served in the fellowship area following the service. 

All congregation and community members are invited to come to one or both events to say goodbye and to wish Pastor Rhonda well in her new call.
