Tyler Eddy pins his opponent from Parker to take him into the final round to wrestle for fifth or sixth place at the McCook Central Tournament in Salem on Saturday, Dec. 22.

On Saturday, Dec. 22, the Wessington Springs/Woonsocket/Wolsey-Wessington wrestling team traveled to Salem for the McCook Central Invitational. It was a very strong tournament with 19 teams involved, and the WSWWW wrestlers ended with six finishing in the finals in eighth place or better. The team overall finished in eighth place, which is just building on the team finishing in the top eight in all three tournaments they have competed in thus far.

The WSWWW wrestling squad will see their next action on the mats at the Miller/Highmore-Harrold Tournament in Miller on Saturday, Jan. 5.
