The Town ‘N Kountry Kids Blue Group met on Monday, Aug. 2, at the Letcher Community Center. Twenty-seven members were present for the meeting. The meeting was called to order by Vice President Delaney Zoss. The pledges were led by Cain Zoss and Ramsey Fouberg. Roll call was completed by Shay Bechen. The secretary’s report was read by Janet Maechen and approved. Payton Uecker gave the treasurer’s report, Teagen Moody made a motion to approve, and it was seconded by Ramsey Fouberg.
Old Business:
Kelly Wilson reported on how the eye glass collection boxes did, and they will be turned into the office now.
Denny Fouberg will be spraying the weeds in the park between the community center and Jake’s Lounge.
New Business:
Janet brought up the new exhibit form that will be required for static exhibits for the county and state fairs. There will be a four entry limit at the state fair on static exhibits. The new form can be found online.
Janet reviewed the interview process. Members are limited to four interview-judged items at the county level. Several members role played with Janet. This practice was used as an example to members on how to answer questions when interviewing with the judge.
The work schedule for Achievement Days will be coming out soon.
The group discussed purchasing a new projector for use in the community center. Tiffany Hoffman shared that the Letcher Community Group is also looking at purchasing a new Smart TV. This discussion was tabled until a decision is made by the Letcher Community Group.
The club is responsible for the lunch stand on Saturday during Achievement Days from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
The next meeting is Sunday, Sept 12, at 2 p.m.
