Twenty-one sixth grade students were honored on Tuesday, May 3, at the D.A.R.E. graduation held at the Woonsocket School gym. All the graduates received a certificate of achievement and a shirt for finishing the program. Their D.A.R.E. educator, Captain Johnson from the Huron Police Department, spoke a few words about the program and what the students learn from D.A.R.E. Three students were chosen to read their D.A.R.E. essays that are required to graduate from the program. This year’s essay winners were Braylyn Baysinger, Lincoln Diede and Valerie Button.
