On Monday, Oct. 24, Terry Stulken with Midwest Center for School Safety visited Woonsocket School and gave his talk entitled “Prepare – Prevent – Respond/Wave Goodbye to Bullies” to the students about the significance of being an anti-bully. Stulken gave five age-based talks throughout the day in the Woonsocket gymnasium. The student age-based groups were kindergarten through second grade, third and fourth grade, fifth and sixth grade, junior high, and high school. Stulken’s chat encouraged the students to be an anti-bully, to focus on lifting others up with positivity and to help someone that is struggling. He also touched on ways of dealing with being bullied and the importance of telling a trusted individual if they are struggling.
