The SCW ladies had a great week of volleyball winning both contests they had last week. They started with hosting the Iroquois/Lake Preston (ILP) Sharks on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at Sanborn Central. The game went to four sets, but the Lady Blackhawks took the match with set scores of 25-14, 25-11, 22-25 and 25-16.
On Thursday, Oct. 17, the SCW ladies traveled to Kimball to take on the Kimball/White Lake (KWL) WiLdKats. Regardless of season records, the matchup between the WiLdKats and the Lady Blackhawks is always a competitive one, and this year’s was no exception. They played four close sets, but the Lady Blackhawks declawed those WiLdKats in the end with set scores of 25-20, 22-25, 25-21 and 25-22.
The Lady Blackhawks improved to 16-7 on the year going into their game against fourth-ranked Hitchcock-Tulare on Tuesday, Oct. 22. They play their last home game of the regular season on Friday, Oct. 25 against Bridgewater-Emery in Forestburg, and they then have their last game of the regular season on Tuesday, Oct. 29 against Mt.
