The regular meeting of the Woonsocket City Council was called to order by Mayor Richard Reider at 7:00 p.m., Monday, September 2, 2019, with the following members present: Joel Rassel, Derek Foos, Arin Boschee, Darin Kilcoin and Garret Foos. Brandon Goergen was absent.
Motion by Boschee, seconded by D. Foos, to approve the agenda. Motion carried.
Pool report was given by Sarah Jensen. The Council would like to thank her and the lifeguards for all their hard work this year in running a successful summer!
Motion by D. Foos, seconded by G. Foos, to approve the minutes of the August 12, 2019, meeting. Motion carried.
Tom Mitzel attended the meeting to discuss drainage for his property. Council agreed to have Richard Jensen make it possible for the water to flow down the natural drainage.
Council discussed cars. Letters have been sent.
Motion by Kilcoin, seconded by Rassel, to approve the July Financial Report. Motion carried.
Motion by Boschee, seconded by D. Foos, to approve the August Financial Report. Motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS
Council discussed the streets.
Council discussed the 2020 Budget. Motion by D. Foos, seconded by G. Foos, to approve the first reading of the 2020 Budget. Motion carried.
Council discussed crushed concrete. Motion by Rassel, seconded by Kilcoin, to approve the amount of the bid opening from the Mitchell Bid Letting from Solbros Construction & Landscaping. Motion carried. Motion by G. Foos, seconded by Rassel to make crushed concrete available to the public for $10.00 per ton and the buyer pays for the hauling.
Council discussed Drainage on the Highway.
Council discussed smoke testing.
NEW BUSINESS
Council discussed crushed asphalt as part of the highway project. More information will be given for next month.
Council discussed a new mower. A quote will be provided for the next meeting.
Other items that were discussed were the bathhouse at the park and pool repairs.
Motion by Rassel, seconded by Kilcoin, to enter into executive session at 9:20 p.m. Motion carried.
Motion by Kilcoin, seconded by Rassel, to exit executive session at 9:50 p.m. Motion carried.
Motion by G. Foos, seconded D. Foos, to approve the following raises: Richard Jensen ($0.25) John Ames ($0.60) and Tara Weber ($0.25) starting 2020.
With no further business to be discussed, motion by Boschee, seconded by Rassel, to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 9:52 p.m.
