On Friday, Oct. 14, the WWSSC Blackhawks crossed the river to play their last regular-season game against the Rapid City Christian Comets (RCC), and they brought home a 14-6 win for a nice finish to their regular-season schedule.
After a slow start and a scoreless first quarter, the Blackhawks got things going with a one-yard run for a touchdown from Holden Havlik. Havlik hit Ryder Michalek for the two-point conversion that brought the Blackhawks up 8-0 going into the locker room at the end of the first half.
RCC scored in the third quarter making the score 8-6, but the Blackhawks answered with their own touchdown in the fourth quarter on a two-yard run from Havlik. The two-point conversion failed, but that would be the end of the scoring for both sides, and the Blackhawks would finish on top with a final score of 14-6.
