Dolores Hoffman, 85, Mitchell, formerly of Alexandria, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013 in Avera Brady Health and Rehab.
Funeral services were Tuesday in St. Mary of Mercy Catholic Church at Alexandria with the Rev. Jerry Ranek, celebrant, and the Rev. Ron Garry co-celebrant.
Burial was in St. Martin’s Catholic Cemetery at Emery.
Visitation was Monday in St. Mary of Mercy Catholic Church at Alexandria with a prayer service.
Dolores Ann Hoffman was born Sept. 17, 1927 at Emery to Jennie (Joachim) and Tom Fahy. She attended Emery Grade School and went on to graduate from Bridgewater High School. She married Harold Hoffman on May 5, 1947, at Bridgewater.
She is survived by her 10 children, Jane (Pat) Derrington, Amery, Wis., Oran (Mary Jo) Hoffman, Emery, Tom (Kathy) Hoffman, Alexandria, Fay Klock, Omaha, Neb., Karen (Jim) Mannie, Sioux Falls, Brian Hoffman and his fiancé, Wanda Seigert, Hastings, Minn., Teresa (Dave) Goedeken, Columbus, Neb., Brenda (Neil) Meyer, Omaha, Deanna “Dede” (Cory) Collins, Forestburg, and Gail Gust, Scottsdale, Ariz.; 26 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; Harold’s siblings and their spouses; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; her parents; an infant sister; brothers-in-law, Steve Weber, Russell Garry, Carl Goldstein and Norbert Hoffman; and a daughter-in-law, Diane Hoffman.
