Henry J. Hansen Jr., 80, died Jan. 4, 2013, in the Rapid City Regional Hospital.
Funeral services were Jan. 7 in Osheim and Schmidt Funeral Home at Rapid City. Burial was in Pine Lawn Memorial Park, Rapid City.
Henry was born January 1932, to Henry, Sr. and Lydia (Jerke) Hansen at Woonsocket. He married Thelma Tapken at Alpena in August 1951.
After leaving the farm in the early 1950s, he worked on road construction, hauling oil. In 1965 he began over the road freight hauling and hauled to nearly every state. He retired in 2002.
Jr. and Thelma spent eight summers as Custer State Park volunteers as campground hosts.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma; a son, Gerald (Wanda) Hansen; a daughter, Velda (Rocky) Runeberg; two granddaughters and a sister, Bernice Eddy of Woonsocket.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Emma Neumeyer.
