Recently, the fourth grade class at Woonsocket Elementary decorated a tree at the Sanborn County Courthouse with ornaments that were made by the students in memory of Mrs. Jill Olson.
Every year Mrs. Olson and her class decorated a Christmas tree in the courthouse. This year the elementary students and staff wanted to honor her and continue her legacy.
Mrs. Gutierrez’s fourth grade class decorated the tree with quilt squares, Coke ornaments, angels, snowmen and other handmade ornaments.  These ornaments were chosen because they were her favorites.
The legacy of Mrs. Olson is felt in the school daily, and she will be greatly missed by students and staff.
