Kaitlin Arnold and Brian Steever, both of Jefferson City, Mo., were married the afternoon of May 26 in Immaculate Conception Church at Jefferson City. Father Daniel Merz performed the double ring ceremony.
Father Merz was a special guest from Washington, D.C., having been the bride’s family’s former parish priest. The bride was attended by maid of honor, Molly Hayes, and bridesmaids Maddie Arnold and Alexa Hemphill. The best man was Chris Kemp accompanied by Zach Beeson and Hermon Mahari.
Vocalists were Sue Bodart, Anna Bodart and Tom Steever. Musicians were Michelle Newberry, Andrew Ouellette, Hermon Mahari, Maddie Arnold, Sue Capehart and Mike Bruns.
A dinner and dance reception followed the ceremony in the Doubletree Hotel.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner catered by the groom’s aunt and uncle, Sara and John Steever, the evening before the wedding.
The former Katie Arnold is the daughter of Sue and Randy Arnold of Jefferson City, Mo.
Brian Steever is the son of Tom and Lori Steever, also of Jefferson City. Lori Steever is a native of Woonsocket and Brian is the grandson of Avis Elenz and the late Floyd Elenz of Woonsocket.
The groom, a recent graduate of the University of Missouri at Kansas City, is a jazz musician in the Kansas City area.
The bride is a senior at the University of Missouri at Kansas City and plans to enter dental school after graduation.
After a wedding trip to Steamboat Springs, Colo., the couple resides in Kansas City, Mo.
