Jerauld County NRCS and Conservation District: NRCS sent out letters to Jerauld County landowners, producers and participants reminding them that the Jerauld NRCS Office is still open for business and that Jerauld NRCS and Conservation District business still needs to be handled there. Whenever possible NRCS and FSA are sharing documents electronically to speed up processing times between offices. The Sanborn/Jerauld FSA Office is committed to maintaining a good working relationship with the Jerauld participants, NRCS staff and Conservation District.
2012 FSA County Committee Election(s): Farm Service Agency (FSA) conducts elections annually to fill positions on local County Committees (COC). In Sanborn County Aaron Allbee is running unopposed in LAA 1. In Jerauld County Andrew Arhart is running unopposed in LAA 1. Write in votes are allowed. Write in candidates may serve on the COC or as alternates if elected and willing to serve.
FSA will mail official ballots to known persons who are eligible to vote in FSA elections in early November. Ballots must be completed and returned or postmarked by Dec. 3 to be counted. If you think you should receive a ballot but don’t, you need to contact the appropriate FSA Office.
