Hispanic/Women Farmers and Ranchers Claims Process (BU740): On Feb, 25, 2011, the Secretary announced a claims process for women and Hispanic farmers who allege they were discriminated against when they applied or were discouraged from applying, for direct farm loans or direct farm loan servicing. Claimants have 180 days from the opening date of Sept. 24, 2012 through March 25, 2013, to file a Claims Package as outlined at www.farmerclaims.gov. November Loan Interest Rates: Farm Loan Program – Farm Ownership 3.125 percent, Down Payment 1.5 percent, Operating 1.5 percent. Farm Storage Facility – 1.125 to 2.0 percent. Marketing Assistance – 1.125 percent. Calendar: CRP Hay Removal Deadline is Nov. 15. Fall Acreage Reporting Deadline is Nov 15.
