The regular meeting of Unit 29 American Legion Auxiliary was held at 6:30 p.m. in the community center. President Dawn Rassel led the opening ceremonies and Marian Andersen, music chairman, led the National Anthem.
The minutes of the June meeting were read and approved. Barb Maurice gave the treasurer’s report, which was approved.
Dawn Rassel gave a report on the blood drive, which will be held Sept. 24 from 2 to 6 p.m. in the community center.
It was decided to give a monetary donation to the community center.
The yearly obligations were reviewed and the amount sent in for the President’s Project and Nursing Scholarship were increased. The President’s Project will be items for the State Veterans Home.
Judy Stenzel was installed as the Unit Chaplain and committees for 2012-2013 were appointed.
A newsletter from District 6 President Theresa Maeschen was read. The new Department President is Barb Vetter of Cresbard.
Following the closing ceremonies President Dawn adjourned the meeting.
The next meeting will be Oct. 2, at 6:30 p.m.
