Floyd Lindstrom, 95, Mitchell, died Wednesday, Jan. 30 in Avera Bormann, Manor, Parkston. A memorial service was held in Avera Bormann Manor, Parkston. Floyd Carrol Lindstrom was born at Jackson, Minn., to Frank and Anna (Keilblock) Lindstrom July 13, 1917. He grew up and attended school in Jackson. Following High School, he moved to Los Angeles where he worked in the aircraft industry. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1942 and in 1944 and 1945 he was a pilot in the U.S. Air Corps. He married Jeanette Schlapkohl on Feb. 21, 1948, at Mankato, Minn. They moved to Mitchell where he worked as a printer in Educator Supply for several years. Later they moved to Redondo Beach, Calif. and Santa Monica. Calif. His wife, Jeanette, died on Feb. 21, 1976. He continued to live in California until 1979 when he moved back to Mitchell and worked at McLeod’s Printing Office and Supply until his retirement. On Sept. 6, 1980, he married Patricia Knutson. He was a resident of Avera Bormann Manor in Parkston the last two and a half years. He is survived by his wife, Patricia, Mitchell; one step-daughter, Jerry Luckett; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
