On Jan. 29 the Woonsocket School put on a “Fuel Up to Play 60” family fun night. Fuel Up to Play 60 is a program founded by the National Dairy Council and the NFL, in collaboration with USDA, that empowers students to take charge in making small, every day changes at school.
There was a great turn out at the event which included many different activities. There was also a middle school health fair where students presented projects to the community.
The event was put on by program advisers Mr. Rodriguez and Mr. Bruce and was sponsored by the W.E.P.C.
Health fair winners are as follows: first place – Jared Goldammer and Alissa Ball, “Energy drinks and their affect on your body”; second place – Abby Doering and Lauren Johnson, “Healthy hand washing”; third place – Trey Weber and Jasmine Peach, “Testing Reaction Time.”
