The Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Blackhawks finished their season (17-11) with a loss in three sets to Arlington in the Region 4B volleyball championship match Tuesday, Nov. 12 in Forestburg.
Set scores were 25-18, 25-19 and 25-12.
The Blackhawks were led by Rachel Selland with a team high 12 assists, six digs and one ace. Marissa Weber added six kills and seven digs, while Savannah Swenson contributed 12 digs, four kills and one ace.
Samantha Boeck led Arlington with a match-high 26 kills. Kimberly VanBockern had nine kills and Brooklyn Judstra had nine digs, six kills and two aces.
Arlington will compete in the state volleyball tournament in Huron this week.
