A 5K race will be replacing the mini-triathlon this year at the Woonsocket Water Festival on the Fourth of July. It will be starting at 6:30 p.m.
The age divisions are 13 and under, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, and 40 and over.  Medals will be awarded to the first place male and female winners in each age group.
The route goes around Woonsocket, starting at the north end of the lake, east to 7th Ave., south to 3rd St., west to 1st Ave., north to 11th St., west again to the cemetery gates, then back east to 2nd Ave., and finishing at the lake.
Entry forms can be picked up at Express Stop or at First National Bank South Dakota in Woonsocket. Forms can also be found on the Woonsocket Web site, under Water Festival, and can be mailed to: Julie Amadon, c/o First National Bank South Dakota, PO Box 98, Woonsocket, SD  57385.
Individuals can also enter the day of the event.
