Devastating fire consumes home at Twin Lakes

schulz fire    A Sunday evening, Jan. 26 fire reduced a Twin Lakes home to ashes Sunday evening.
The home of Jack and Penny Schulz on the east side of Twin Lakes caught fire Sunday sometime before 8 p.m.
The Woonsocket Fire Department was called to the blaze around 7:45 p.m. By the time firemen arrived, the home was completely engulfed. Despite a hard, biting wind, firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to other structures.
It is as of yet unclear how the fire started. The Schulzes were out of state at the time and had a friend housesitting.
