This year the WEPC is planning a wonderful week of celebration for American Education Week, which runs from Nov. 16-20.
The theme this year is “Stars” because WEPC believes every student shines in his/her own way.  They will be giving all students little gifts during that week to remind them of just how special they are and to remind them how important a good education is. The theme for each day is broken down as follows:
Monday – A good education makes you shine like a star! A little gift will be given to the kids.
Tuesday – S.T.A.R. Family Fun Night. Acronym stands for the following: S-Success T-Through A-Academics is R-Reachable. There will be activities for everyone in the gym that night. Physical education is an important part of a well-rounded education for each kid, too.
Wednesday – Reach for the Stars with Reading!  Guest readers will be in each classroom that day.  If you are interested in being a guest reader, please let a WEPC member know.
Thursday – All Students “Sparkle” in Their Own Way.Another gift given to the kids.
Friday – Spell Like an All-Star Spell-A-Thon. Please consider making a pledge for a young speller at the school to help motivate them and to help the WEPC with funding great programs for our awesome “Star Students”!
