The Christian Education Committee of the Letcher Community Church met recently to plan the fall youth programs for youth Christian education.  Opportunities are as follows:
Sunday school will start on Sept. 11 at 10 a.m. All children ages third through eighth grade are invited to attend. The “Christian Buzz Groups” is the material being used. The students will attend church opening at 10:15 a.m. then return to classes approximately 10:30 a.m. Dismissal will be at 11:15 a.m., the time church will also conclude.  Coffee and rolls are served for all at 11:15 a.m.
Sonshine Club will meet on Wednesdays twice a month from 3:45 to 5:30 p.m. in the church basement. Students kindergarten through fifth grade are welcome.  There will be food, games and teachings from the Old and New Testaments. This program will start on Sept. 7.
Confirmation Class – This class is offered to students in grades 6-8. The class starts on Sept. 7 from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m.  A meal will be provided.
King’s Kids – This is a youth group for students in grades 4-7. This group meets on Sunday afternoons once a month.  The group participates in fun activities, food and devotions. Sherri Hanson is the parent advisor. The first meeting will be Sept. 18 from noon until 1:30 p.m.
Rock Solid – This group is designed for youth, grades 8-12. The first meeting is Sept. 14 at the church from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. Food will be provided.
Sunday, Dec. 18, will be the Christmas program.
