Sioux Falls – Members of the South Dakota Cattlemen’s Foundation recently invited students throughout South Dakota to apply for their new scholarship program.
This new scholarship program has been established by the South Dakota Cattlemen’s Foundation to recognize that the future of the beef industry lies in the hands of youth who have a sincere interest in the industry. Funds raised at the Prime Time Gala & Concert will help to fund these scholarships.
After review of 40 applications, Jonathan Linke of Woonsocket was selected as one of four recipients of scholarships.
These individuals were selected based on their active participation and interest in the development of their communities and the South Dakota beef industry. All are also currently enrolled in a postsecondary institution in South Dakota. Scholarships of $4,000, $3,000, $2,000 and $1,000 will be awarded to four students and the amounts will be announced the evening of the Prime Time Gala.
