Maxine “Mikki” E. Bollack, 59, of Ethan, died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016, at her home under hospice care.
Funeral services were Saturday, Jan. 23 at Will Funeral Chapel with burial at Servicemen’s Memorial Cemetery. Visitation was Friday evening, Jan. 22 at the Chapel with a prayer service.
Mikki Bollack, daughter of Max and Eileen (Stopher) Bishop, was born June 3, 1956, in Mitchell. She grew up and received her schooling in Mitchell. Mikki lived in Ogden, Utah, for two years.
She was united in marriage with James Bollack on July 29, 1978, in Woonsocket. The couple lived in Red Oak, Iowa, for a year and then made their home in Tampa, Fla., from 1979 to 1987, where Jim was stationed in the U.S. Air Force. In 1989, they moved to Mitchell where Mikki was employed at Trail King, Graphic Packaging and later as the manager of Family Dollar.
She enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, reading books and spending time with her family and her two dogs, Scooter and Gizmo.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Bollack of Ethan; four children, Beth (Jeremey) Chan, Brandi (Jeremy) Roach, and Benjamin Bollack, all of Mitchell, and Anne Bollack of Ethan; three grandchildren; a brother, Ted (Jerry) Turgeon of Omaha, Neb.; two sisters, Jane (Craig) Hansen of Griswold, Iowa, and Mary (Larry) Peeler of Tampa, Fla.; a brother-in-law, Tim Bollack of Yankton; and a sister-in-law, Judy (Clayton) Clark of Frisco, Texas.
Mikki was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Lily Roach; and a brother, Robert Barnes.
A memorial fund has been established in Mikki’s name.
