Merle Northrup of Mt. Vernon, who is accused of stealing around $410,000 worth of grain from employers David and Scott Estabrook of Letcher, appeared in Davison County Court again on Tuesday morning, Nov. 1.
Northrup had been granted a continuance at his last court appearance Oct. 4, as he had not yet retained a lawyer.
Tuesday, 46-year-old Northrup appeared with court appointed attorney, Donna Bucher, who he had retained the day before, Oct. 31.
Northrup was granted another two-week continuance in order to consult with his attorney. His next court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 15.
