Sisters visit family in Colorado

Berg sisters, Joyce Brown of Black Hawk, Janis Weatherford of Ladora, Iowa, and Vicki Linke of Woonsocket, recently enjoyed a week-long trip to Denver, Colo., to visit Berg, Anderson, and Johnson relatives.
They were dinner guests of their cousins, Kay (Berg) and Frank Knoll, Jeanne (Anderson) and Kent Kilburn, and Voanne (Johnson) and Norman Bertelson. Other cousins they visited were, Bonnie (Berg) and Robin McIntosh, Allen and Candace Knoll, Caleb and Victoria, Cal Anderson and Becky Mattfeld, Ron and Mary Anderson, Donna Rae Johnson, Wendy Kilburn, and Shirley Ann (Johnson) and Charles Scheetz.
On the way home they met cousins Pauli and Ivan Enderson and Raymond Enderson of Arriba, Colo., at Limon, Colo., for lunch. The sisters’ father, Vernon Berg, graduated from Limon in 1939.
Tourist highlights of the trip were riding the train to and touring downtown Denver, and also seeing the Denver Botanic Gardens. The Denver metro area has grown to a city of three million people.
