The Town ‘N Kountry Kids 4-H Club Blue Group met on Sept. 16 at the Letcher Community Center.
The meeting was called to order by President Cole Moody. Pledges were led by Caleb Kneen and Parker Ettswold. Thirteen members answered the roll call topic “Favorite NFL Team.” The secretary’s report was read by Ashlee Hanson and was approved.
Dean Hanson made a motion to approve the treasurer’s report, seconded by Keaton Fridley, motion carried.
Ellie Evans reported that grandparent cards were sent out, and she will have an updated list at the next meeting.
Old Business: The flag pole for the 4-H grounds will be put up in the spring. The County Commissioners will be contacted on placement of the pole. The club will work concessions at the Horse Project Day at the 4-H building on Oct. 2. The event starts at 1 p.m.
New business: Record books are due by Sept. 30 to the office in Woonsocket. National 4-H Week committee consists of Cole, Madi and Chloe. National 4-H Week is Oct. 2-8.
Talks and Demonstrations were given by Dean Hanson – “How to Make Buttery Ranch Pretzels,” Ashlee Hanson – “The Different Functions of a Sewing Machine,” and Toby Kneen – “How to Dehydrate Apples.”
Next month’s meeting will be held Oct. 16. The meeting will start at 1 p.m. in the Letcher Community Center. New members are encouraged to attend.
