JEFF SCHULZ runs the favorite part of his race, final stretch across the finish line with his son, Jobe, Sunday morning at the Mankato Marathon.

Jeff Schulz of Mankato, Minn., and originally of Woonsocket, qualified for the Boston Marathon Sunday at the Mankato Marathon.
Schulz averaged 6:58 per mile and finished seventh overall out of 359 finishers, with a time of 3:02:16. He finished in second place out of 66 males in his 30-39 age group.
Schulz is a 1999 graduate of Woonsocket High School. He lives in Mankato with his wife, Jayni, and their son, Jobe, whom Jeff says is his main inspiration to keep pushing himself to run.
