Bible School is complete at the Letcher Community Church.  It was a successful event with 72 students attending.  The week ran from May 22-25.
The evenings started with supper prepared by church volunteers. Approximately 80 to 90 meals were served each evening.  The students traveled to various learning centers in groups called “Crew Cabin” that were multi-aged groups.
All students and helpers attended opening worship, projects, Bible Time, recreation, and closing worship. The students worked on memory of the Beatitudes and understanding the Ten Commandments during this event. The theme was surrounded by the idea of S’more of Jesus’s Love.
The class of three to four year olds attended the Pup Tent after opening worship each evening.
On Wednesday evening, the group enjoyed singing camp songs while making s’mores around campfires. At the end of each evening, the students were provided with a snack.
On Thursday evening, a potluck supper with grilled hamburgers and hot dogs was provided.
This church event was a huge success due to all the community and church volunteers and donations to make it possible for children to learn “S’more about Jesus.”
