The Schmidt family are planning a Four Generation Art Show on  Saturday and Sunday, July 22-23. It will be held in the Michael J. Fitzmaurice auditorium in the South Dakota State Veteran’s Home in Hot Springs. It has been a long dream of theirs of getting the family’s work together, so it will be a once in a lifetime occasion, as these art pieces have never been, nor will be together again.
Twenty-one of the family’s artists will be featured. Mediums include oil, acrylic, ink, pastel, watercolor, charcoal, colored pencil, graphite and combinations. Also showing will be glass work, ceramics and sculpting.
Members showing from this area are Margaret Schmidt, Don, Terri and Dillan Schmidt of Lane, John and Angel Schmidt of Woonsocket,  Jim and Susan Schmidt of Huron, and Wilfred and Patricia Schmidt, who are deceased.          Other members showing will include Gayle, Tim, Anna and Teresa Tescher, Corey Bucher,  Liam Sowers, Brian Schmidt, Caleb and Josh Ricks, Jeremy Schmidt and Landon Buchele.
In case anyone is planning a vacation to the hills at that time, this would be an interesting and free occasion to take in.
